Jennifer Stewart, M.S.Ed.
Affectionately known as Professor Jenny, she is an American Sign Language professor, early childhood educator, special education specialist, curriculum developer and the creator of the My Simple Signs™ Method.

A personal connection to ASL
Professor Jenny grew up with a personal connection to American Sign Language and the Deaf community. That shaped her appreciation for ASL as a complete, expressive language and an invaluable gift from the Deaf community.
She often meets a common misconception: that ASL is only for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. But the benefits of learning ASL reach far beyond the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Hearing children benefit from visual language too, especially in the early years when communication skills are developing quickly.
