Not a new curriculum. It scaffolds into yours.

How It Works

Just meaningful communication woven into what teachers already do, from morning greetings and snack time to circle time, transitions, play and daily routines.

The My Simple Signs™ Method

One featured sign each week, at your own pace. Keep using every sign you've learned.

Rather than adding another demanding curriculum to an already busy classroom, My Simple Signs™ uses a scaffolded approach that builds upon existing classroom routines and learning experiences.

Teachers can introduce MORE during snack time, HELP during play, or HAPPY during morning circle. That vocabulary is then reinforced through posters, flashcards, student workbooks, interactive games and natural classroom interactions.

Every classroom moves at its own pace. Spend extra time on any sign whenever your children need it, and move on when they're ready.

Each new sign adds to a growing foundation of visual communication without replacing previously introduced vocabulary.

One featured sign. Your own pace. Growing communication opportunities.

The complete 7-step My Simple Signs™ Method is taught in the Teacher Implementation Guide included with every kit.

The goal isn't perfect signing.
The goal is meaningful communication.

Children are encouraged to observe, recognize, understand and use signs in ways that support their individual abilities and developmental needs.

Classroom Communication Guide
Designed for real classrooms and real teachers

It fits into your day because it was designed for your day.

Teachers already have enough on their plates. My Simple Signs™ was intentionally designed to scaffold into your existing curriculum, not replace it. It is not a new curriculum, so there's no need to redesign your schedule or introduce an entirely separate program.

Simply incorporate signs into:

  • Morning meetings and circle time
  • Meals and snack time
  • Classroom transitions
  • Storytime and early literacy activities
  • Play and learning centers
  • Music and movement
  • Small-group instruction
  • Everyday classroom communication
